Review

This venue located in the heart of the New Forest has 7 lakes to fish from, all within close proximity to each other.  The waters vary in difficulty, but are generally very heavily stocked meaning that it doesn't take much effort to land yourself a fish.  Some of the lower lakes are only accessible via very steep steps from the road, so are not ideal for people with accessibility issues.  There is no bait shop on site, so you need to make sure you plan your outing or do a bait run the day before.  Tickets are purchased from the Lake side, the friendly bailiff will be happy to pop round and take your money once your setup.  During the summer months this venue can become very busy, and if your anglers like the fishing fools who like the peace and quiet offered by angling, this venue might not be for you.

Most species are stocked in the lakes including Roach, Rudd, Dace, Perch, Carp, Eel, Tench, Bream & Skimmers - and most tactics are permitted, but check with the baliff to ensure you are fishing within the waters rules.

Tactics

This venue has many different lakes to fish from including the very popular Bob's lake which has the largest Carp in it.  This venue is very heavily stocked, and the fish will generally fall to most tactics.  If you are targeting Carp, then make sure you are using a suitably strong main line 12lb+ on the main lake.  This venue can become "very" busy in the summer months, but provides some easy fishing through the harder winter months for the die hard angler.
