I recently managed to find time for a night fish on a lake. I' no expert in night fishing for Carp or anything else but I always enjoy those late night beeps and the feel that you have not slept for weeks. Smile  After much research I found that braided line was not allowed on the waters I was going to fish.  This left me with Mono, I did some further research and found that mono doesn't always give you the best presentation.  Further research pointed me to something called Flurocarbon  Embarassed

This type of line according to the scientists is almost invisible under water and also has the the benefit that it sinks to the bottom.  I decide to buy some of this line which was not all that cheap.  when buying the main line I also found IQ Fluorocarbon which is a softer version which helps make better presentation of the bait on the hook link.

The night fish was good fun but I did blank but one of the fishing fools did bring in a nice 8 pound Bream. With regards to the new line I found that I could sink the  fairly well but i may need some lighter bobbins as they seemed to pull the line up a little I almost running slack lines in the end.  I also found that the main line did seem rather curly which I believe is called the memory of the line, on one cast the line curled off the spool which meant I have to untangle lots of line, basically don't over spool your line.

On the hook link the IQ was really easy to use but I was not too sure what rigs to use on the IQ can any of you Carp experts out that offer any advice on what rigs to use with Fluorocarbon?

Any way may next night fish I will hit that Mega Carp see you soon.
