Well, after a very wet and cold weekend fishing courtesy of the unpredictable British weather, the greenhouse is now having to double as a make shift laundry for all the wet clothing and tackle
...now don't get me wrong I was lovely and dry in my waterproofs, but all the fishing kit (which seems to increase on a weekly basis) got soaked, and this got me thinking, maybe I needed something more "robust" then the black bin bags I currently use
I've been pondering the idea for weeks, however I've been unable to decide what I actually want or need....so now after some frantic web searching, I've had a chance to review the various options - from the basic umbrella at around 40" to 60" , I ruled these out as the slightest gust of wind would either result in it turning inside out, or me performing a Marry Poppins
over the lake...then there's the umbrella shelter, basically an umbrella on it's side with a valence to keep out the horizontal rain..again ruled out as the sort of weather I would feel compelled to erect this in would have it blowing away...Then we had the Bivis aka fishing tent...ruled out as it's just overkill for a short day session..Finally we have the day shelters, designed to do exactly what it says on the tin !
So today I've invested in a Korum day session shelter Mark II
exactly what I was after, nice and compact, will fit inside my rod quiver, easy to put up, won't look like I'm setting up for a 3 week camping holiday on the swim ! I can't wait to try this thing out, especially with the long term weather forecast being "predominantly raining" !
Anyway, I'll post a full review once I've tried the shelter out, catch ya later
