Well I have actually now been on my first fishing trip and what a day it was, read " who says fishing is dull", to find out what happened, but before that let me pass on some advice that is very important before you go on your own fishing adventures.

It was the day before the big day and the excitement was tremendous all day sat looking at web sites and books thinking have I got all the required kit, was the bait correct, what items had I forgotten.

In this daze of excitement I took upon my self to plan a trip to the local fishing shop before it closed. I searched the web for the address printed out a map and arrange to meet a friend. We arrived at a car park only to realize that we had to walk a mile to get to the shop. Now the back streets of the town all look the same so after hours of looking at street names we eventually found where we were and how to find the shop. After a walk we saw the correct street, shame we were at the wrong end of this long street. We walked along counting the numbers on the shops and houses and then suddenly we saw it, the shop, in all its glory shutters on the doors, boards covering the windows and no sign of life, the shop had been closed for years. Embarassed

I guess the moral of the story is if your, exited before your fishing trip and you need or wish to visit a tackle shop, phone the number on the web site to see if the shop is still open before getting in the car! Yell

Any way see you all later
